Dermal/Lip Fillers
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gel-like substances used to treat a wide range of cosmetic issues in the face and hands, including diminished volume, fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Several different companies make fillers, and each has its own unique formulations, which are useful for treating distinct problems in separate areas of the face.
By filling in certain areas of the face, we can contour and create the visage you’ve always dreamed of. Over time, dermal fillers are slowly absorbed by the body and most last anywhere from 12 to 24 months before necessitating a touch-up.
Dermal fillers and botox are both minimally invasive, injectable cosmetic treatments. Both are performed as outpatient procedures in the comfort of Jesse’s office and require minimal downtime. While both can improve the overall appearance of the face, they achieve this in different ways.
Botox is primarily used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, but is a safe, FDA approved treatment that has been used for several decades now.
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles that cause fine lines around the eyes, forehead, and mouth, also known as expression lines. By blocking the nerve signals, muscles in the injection site become temporarily paralyzed, thus softening or eliminating wrinkles from the area. These results can last up to three months, and the treatment takes about five minutes to complete.
Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are primarily used to rejuvenate the skin and add volume and fullness to various areas of the face. Different brands and types of fillers are made of varying ingredients, including:
- Hyaluronic acid, such as JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, and Belotero®
- Calcium hydroxylapatite, such as RADIESSE®
- Poly-L-lactic acid, such as Sculptra®
- Polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres (PMMA), such as Bellafill®
Each of these fillers is designed to treat certain kinds of aging or other cosmetic issues. Depending on which one is used, they can last anywhere from 12 to 24 months. On average, treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
Dysport®️
Dysport® is an FDA-approved purified neurotoxin prescription injection that is primarily used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. To effectively minimize the appearance of frown lines between your eyebrows, Dysport’s purified Botulinum Toxin properties weaken the muscles in your glabellar area. Dysport® is incredibly effective which is why it is frequently used to enhance other parts of the face.
Dysport® lasts anywhere from three to four months and usually takes up to seven days to take effect. The lifespan and effectiveness of Dysport® primarily depends on your physiological makeup, which is why we recommend consulting Jess at Wellbrook Aesthetics before beginning treatment. Some common side effects of Dysport® include headache, swelling, injection site pain, or nausea.
Hair Restoration
Hair loss can be the result of several underlying conditions, stress, or improper hair care. Many patients schedule an appointment once they notice that their hair is thinning or falling out, but sometimes, hair loss is not obvious.
Signs of hair loss include:

How does it work?
- Your blood is drawn normally, just as it would be done in your PCP’s office.
- The blood is then purified in a centrifuge to extract the plasma.
- The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into the areas in need of treatment using microneedles for maximum patient comfort and precision, stimulating your natural regenerative process.
Since the PRP is full of growth proteins, the injection will promote the growth of new, healthy hair. We use needles that are finer in diameter than a human hair, for maximum patient comfort.
Mild improvement will be noticeable within the first few weeks, but maximum results may not occur until the 4-6 month mark. Most patients will require several treatments to achieve their desired results.
Microneedling
Microneedling is one of the most effective ways to rejuvenate your skin and improve its appearance. As part of the body’s natural aging process, the skin experiences a loss of collagen and elastin which results in the formation of fine lines, creases, and wrinkles. There are also environmental factors that can contribute to how the skin appears. Spending too many hours in the sun, working in high-stress environments, or even accidents that leave scars can change the appearance of the skin.
For some patients, acne in childhood can lead to scars or uneven skin textures that are hard to cover up. As a nonsurgical alternative to injectables and other treatments, microneedling is the optimal choice for a variety of skin and cosmetic issues.
Is microneedling for me?
During your first visit we will determine if microneedling is the right treatment for you by reviewing your medical history and setting goals for the appearance you want to achieve by receiving treatment. This first visit serves as a time for you to get a better understanding of how microneedling works, and to ask us any questions you may have. Once we create an individualized treatment plan that is specific to your physiological makeup and needs, we will begin treatment.
How does microneedling work?
Microneedling involves the use of devices with very thin, short needles that are slowly rolled over the skin by a medical professional. As the needles pass over the skin, they gently poke through the surface, creating micro-tears that are invisible to the eye but help promote the natural regeneration process. Microneedling has a short recovery time, minimal discomfort, and life-changing results which have made it one of the most popular skin treatments available.
What happens after?
Because microneedling is a nonsurgical and minimally invasive procedure, you will be able to return to your everyday routine right away. Your skin may be a bit more sensitive to light and appear pink in color right after your treatment. If you do have some sensitivity, it is important to remember that your skin is in the process of healing itself even if you can’t see it. Limiting exposure to direct sunlight and harsh chemicals such as some makeup and foundations will help the healing process go smoothly. Activating the healing process through microneedling encourages your body to drastically increase its collagen and elastin production. The new collagen and elastin that your body produces will be responsible for smoothing out discolored areas, balancing your skin tone, filling in scar indentations, and rejuvenating the surface of your skin.

Xeomin™️
Xeomin™ is an FDA-approved, highly-purified neurotoxin prescription injection that is primarily used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. An alternative to Botox and Dysport, Xeomin™ is injected into your face muscles to soften frown lines and improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between your eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines.
The cosmetic effects of Xeomin™ last for a short period of time and block the release of the chemicals that cause your muscles to contract, which over time, result in frown lines. Xeomin™ lasts anywhere from three to four months and can take anywhere from 24 hours to ten days to take effect. IV Therapy
At Wellbrook Aesthetics, we are pleased to offer IV therapies to our patients. We offer a wide range of treatments, from simple hydration to more customized therapies, including unique combinations of vitamins and minerals. We tailor each IV therapy session to the individual, depending on their needs and existing conditions.
The primary benefit of IV therapy is that it delivers the needed products directly to the bloodstream. Rather than waiting for nutrients to be absorbed through the digestive system, our patients can quickly receive them where the body will actually utilize them. Most therapies take between 15 and 30 minutes to administer, and we even have some patients come in on their lunch breaks!
Injectables
Loss of volume is a common concern for many patients, and is one of the most prominent signs of aging. Injectables are able to replace the lost volume and help to smooth out wrinkles, plump the lips, and help to restore a more youthful appearance.

During your consultation, we will evaluate the areas that you are concerned about and review your medical history. We want to make sure that the treatment is safe and you will be happy with the results you receive.
Depending on the area that is being treated, you may experience results immediately. Some patients may have mild bruising or swelling; however this will be temporary and will subside over a few days. There is no downtime with injectables, so you will be able to go back to your regular routine right after treatment. The results are also not permanent. You will want to continue to receive treatment every 6-12 months.

PRF
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural healing material that is derived from a patient’s own blood.
